About Donna Steele

Women strong enough for love. I write about strong women in lots of areas - science fiction, paranormal and contemporary fiction romance - women coming into their strength and having the courage to find and accept love. As an empty nester with my beloved best friend and husband (who actually encourages this mad passion of mine) I write all the time – whether or not I have a pen or keyboard handy. Ever since I learned to read—from Superman Comics, Dick, Jane and Sally held no appeal—I’ve wanted to write. The possibilities of science fiction have always drawn me and I’ve read them all. There just needed to be a little more romance in them. I finally got up the courage and I’m delighted that I’m able to share these stories with you. My small town romance novels - Homecoming, Welcome Home, Red Shoes, Nowhere for Christmas, Christmas Present and Dance Partner are available at all eBook vendors. My paranormal romance eBooks Learning Trust, The Melting Series, and Wraith's Heart are now available at all eBook sellers. Wraith's Heart and Learning Trust are now also available in paperback through Amazon. I’m a member of Romance Writers of American, the Fantasy, Futuristic & Paranormal Chapter of RWA and the Heart of Carolina Romance Writers. www.steelestories.com https://www.facebook.com/DonnaSteeleAuthor http://goo.gl/dH6PAA

Christmas in July ’22

Time for a little Christmas in July!  I know it’s hot, at least here, so hopefully you’re getting to spend some time in a cool area, pool, beach or at least pretending to. So you need a good read to keep you company with a strong, feminist heroine and hot, hunky hero to keep you warm – You’ve come to the right place!

Nancy Lee Badger and I both have just the thing for you, so join us!

My latest –

I love the paranormal with that little twist, nothing overt – where everything looks normal, at first. The Unknown Tasks series joins my other paranormal series and has been one of the most fun to write!

Brandy has been sent here by others to handle small tasks that help people, even if they don’t know it and never remember she was there. That’s been her life and she knows she’s helped. It doesn’t matter that she’s more alone than you can imagine – until Jason needs help. That turned out to be her most complicated task to date and more wide ranging than she had imagined. Now Jason is part of the team, learning about both her and her occupation, and together… things are looking good!

The third book in the Unknown Task series – Accounting for Evil is now available along with Baked Goods, Book 1 and Decoding Corruption, Book 2.

Nancy’s latest –

The Clan of Dragons box set is also available at Amazon – This 5 book series, Shimmer, Spark, Smoke, Smolder and Sandy are on sale for a limited time.

Nancy Lee Badger brings you over 800 pages from five books she calls the Clan of Dragon series. A long time ago, off the coast of Scotland’s Isle of Skye, something incredible began. Among lush green forests, flower-filled meadows, and black jagged mountains, dragons live in the shadows. It all starts with Robina, daughter of the fairy king, who meets a huge black winged creature. From their union rose three dragon brothers.

You will meet Evan in SPARK, Wynn in SMOKE, and the oldest brother, Dougal in the book titled SMOLDER. They are searching for mates on an island where other dragons no longer exist. What they find instead through their ability to shift into other forms are miracles that keep you turning the page. The last book, SANDY, brings you the story of a lonely dragon visiting Skye. What he finds are pirates and an irritating woman.

Nancy Lee Badger wrote these stories due to her Scottish heritage and love for the Isle of Skye. She has filled these pages with paranormal fantasy, romance, danger, fairies, and characters you will love. AND, one or two you might hate.

Accounting for Evil

Accounting for Evil is live!

Book 3 in the Unknown Tasks series is now available at Amazon

Jason is a true part of the team now. He’s the lead in this latest task, rescuing an abused woman and taking down a dirty cop.  He might not have all of Brandy’s abilities, but he has her and the trust of her trainers. Now he just has to allow himself to rely on them and see what else he can learn…

Excerpt –

Jason watched Brandy head back into the bedroom. He did feel like more a part of the team this time. If she was correct about him being the lead, that meant they—the aliens that had trained her—were beginning to trust him, and he would not be hiding in a car during whatever takedown ensued. It would probably always be unnerving to him for her to receive the information about these tasks she was assigned. It had helped him accept things better when he met the other two Terrans she’d been trained with, Nat and Kip, and spent a little time with them. He knew Brandy missed them since they’d returned to their part of the world to continue their own work.

Terrans—now there was a different concept when he allowed himself to think about it.

He wondered in passing if he and Brandy would ever get to visit Africa or Asia to spend time with her friends, as a tourist rather than how he’d seen those areas previously.

After cleaning up the kitchen, he joined Brandy in the bedroom. She broke the connection on the phone as he entered. “We got the house.”

“You bought a house?” He stopped in his tracks. They’d never discussed finances, other than that thousand-dollar prize he’d won playing scratch-off at her direction. That had led him to believe her and afterward he’d just gone along. Something else he needed to follow up on. He didn’t want her to have to be the only earner in the family.

He wanted to contribute. The insurance payout for the business that no longer existed had come to him, as the last one left alive. The families of everyone else had finally received their benefits as well. That had been part of the completion of the task. Those funds needed to be invested, but that was for later.

“No. It’s a fully furnished rental and at a very specific location. It just became available and it’s part of what we’ll be working on.”

He only nodded. He’d get more information when she did, probably on the drive to Ohio.

Baked Goods and Decoding Corruption are also available at Amazon.

Suspicions on the River by PK Corey

PK, the author I’ve probably known the longest, has a new On the River installment, Suspicions on the River – check it out!!
A Cassie’s family story

Cal and Jenny have a nearly idyllic marriage. Could that be changing? Pat, Cal’s former lover, has moved back to town and she wouldn’t mind giving it another try with Cal. She feels he can’t be serious about this little twit he married so quickly. Pat feels that once Cal realizes she offers him a better option, he’ll choose her. But soon mysterious things begin happening to Pat. Is someone trying to run her out of town? Could that someone be Jenny? Cassie and the whole river family try to keep Jenny occupied and out of trouble, but suspicions just go from bad to worse. Both Jenny and Pat want Cal and they’re willing to fight for him. How dirty will this fight get?

Publisher’s Note: This steamy contemporary romance contains elements of power exchange.

Excerpt:

The next morning, Tom quietly went into the house after his run, hoping to find Cassie still asleep. He smiled. There she was, curled up just where he’d left her. Quickly whipping back the sheet, he began spanking with abandon.

“What… what? Tom! Stop! What is wrong with you? Oww!” Cassie was fast becoming fully awake. She tried crawling to the far side of the bed, but Tom, loving having her on hands and knees, grabbed her around the waist and pulled her to him.

“It’s nearly seven o’clock. You’re burnin’ daylight, girl,” he chided.

“Well, that’s not what you’re burning! Stop it!” she demanded.

Tom laughed and let her go. Then he went after her for a morning kiss as she scooted across

the bed.

Cassie blocked him with a pillow to the head. “I think you know that is my least favorite

way to wake up!” she told him, landing another blow with the pillow.

“Come now, it’s not your least favorite. Remember when you used to sleep so late that I

thought for sure you must be sick? I’d need to take your temperature to make sure you were all right?” he reminded her.

Cassie squirmed a bit remembering how he’d taken her temperature. “What has you in such an annoyingly good mood this morning?”

“I’m not in a good mood. I’m in a sad and lonely mood since you’re taking nearly all the beautiful women from The Landing on a girls’ trip. I just felt I should use my time wisely until you abandon me on Sunday.”

“I can think of better ways,” Cassie told him as she flopped back onto her pillows.

“Do you think I can interest you in another trip soon?” Tom asked. “You know I love our family just as much as you do, but I want some time alone with my wife.”

“Yes! Yes! And yes!” Cassie agreed at once. “Tom Duff, you know I’ll go anywhere in the world with you. Why don’t we plan something for right after Christian’s birthday? You pick the spot and I’ll be there with bells on.”

“Bells, hmm… you’d be lovely with bells and nothing else.” Tom leaned in for another kiss as he ran his hand gently down her side before giving one more swat to her bottom. “But now I have to get ready for work.”

Cassie threw another pillow at him in exasperation. “Don’t start something you’re not willing to finish!” she snapped.

“Don’t run off with the girls and leave me lonely,” he called back as he closed the bathroom door.

About PK Corey

I’ve been intrigued by spanking stories since before I first saw Ricky spank Lucy. Stories of this nature were hard to come by before the Internet and the ones I found were a little harsh on discipline and very much lacking in love. So, I made up my own stories and enjoyed these in my head for years. I finally began writing them down. Although the lovely women in my stories are spanked often, the love between them and their men is the most vital part of their lives together.

I don’t think of myself as a writer so much as a storyteller. I don’t churn out books nearly as fast as perhaps my readers would like. My stories are told to me by my characters, and I pass them along. I write what I’ve always wanted to read about – dominant men, strong women, intense love and loyal friendships. My Cassie’s Space series is about a mature couple who are deeply in love. Despite adoring Cassie’s free-spirited ways, Tom is determined to keep her safe, even if it takes a trip over his knee to do it. And with her friend and accomplice Sue by her side, a trip over his knee is very likely. The Cal’s Law series is about a younger couple. Though from very different backgrounds, Cal and Jenny are drawn together by love and discipline. And my newest book, On the River, combines all my characters as they go about their lives on The Landing.

I was a schoolteacher most of my adult life. Now retired, I love having the time to write. I share a fulfilled life with my wonderful husband and my cat, Sophie. My adult children come around enough to keep us satisfied. Besides writing I spend my time reading and designing unique, hand-drawing bookmarks. And I delight in hearing from my readers.
